Hello, 2015! Celebrations + New Devotions

Happy (almost) New Year, loves!

This has always been my absolute FAVORITE time of year, for a few reasons.

1.     I’m obsessed with intentions, goals, devotions, desires, visioning, etc.

2.     I love looking back on the previous year and witnessing all that I’ve accomplished, how much I’ve grown, and the person I’ve become as a result.

3.     The feeling of starting fresh with a clean slate invigorates & excites me like nothing else!

I’d love for us to celebrate & create all of the above together!

I’m so giddy with excitement to be able to share my favorite rituals for ringing in the new year with all of you and help you to get clear on what it is you would like to bring to life in 2015, and especially creating an empowering game plan for how you’re going to get there!

It’s funny that this year, it feels like the end of 2014 is right on time. In past years, I’ve felt like the whole year zipped by and that the new year was here in a blink.

I attribute this feeling of “divine timing” to all the immense growth and healing I’ve done over the past 12 months. And of course, to learning to be more present, and becoming more aware of spending my time in ways that feel incredibly fulfilling.

We so often place most of our energy and focus on what we want to accomplish outside of ourselves. It’s about the material stuff, getting this, or earning that. But it’s REALLY about who we’ve become in the process.

So, who have you become over the past 12 months?

Today, I want to share with you a method of celebration I love to use at the close of a year!

Here are a few easy peasy steps to follow to create a beautiful reflection on 2014.

1.    Grab a pen & your journal

2.    Think about who you were in December of 2013 (one year ago).  What challenges were you facing? How would you describe yourself one year ago. What was happening in your life at that time? What did your relationships look like? What did you believe to be true about yourself/the world/others?

3.    Make a list of all of the things you’ve accomplished and ways that you’ve grown over the past 12 months. Keep in mind that nothing is too small or insignificant! List the small stuff too! And don’t forget to list the things that allowed you to grow, rise above your fears, or deepen into your truth. These might not be “pretty” things, but own that you’ve gone through them and are a better person because of them.

4.    Read your list back to yourself, as if you were reading it about another woman. What do you think of the woman who has accomplished so much? What would you say about her? How would you describe her? Make a list of a few key characteristics or traits you would use to describe this amazing force of a person.

Let us know in the comments below how you have grown this year! Anything that sticks out? I’d love to hear about your experience with this exercise!

Can’t wait to celebrate and create a roadmap for 2015 with you on Tuesday Jan. 6th!

Celebrating you,

Emily
